Employment opportunities at Positive Pathways

Recruitment

We often have employment opportunities for Residential Support Workers (RSW’s) to provide care, support and supervision to the children and young people in the children’s homes in the Birmingham area.  Occasionally we have vacancies for other posts (e.g. Deputy Manager, Registered Manager).  If you are interested in employment opportunities with Positive Pathways please send your CV to info@pospath.com.  Suitable applicants will be asked to complete our Employment Application Form which can be downloaded and should be read in conjunction with the Employment Information leaflet.

Training and Development

Positive Pathways is committed to staff support, development, and training. All members of staff are provided with regular supervision and are expected to make an active effort to develop their personal skills and knowledge. Mandatory training is provided in line with The Children’s Homes Regulations and Standards (April) 2015 and includes Safeguarding; Positive Crisis Intervention (PCI) (which incorporates physical interventions techniques); Food Hygiene; First Aid; Fire Awareness and Safety, and Administration and Care of Medicines.

All Residential Support Workers must have, or work toward, the Level 4 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce with an external training provider with on-site support and assessment. With respect to new employees without this qualification our policy is to register them during or at the end of their 6-month probationary period.
